How are you helping prevent the spread of COVID-19?
Practicing social distancing
In lieu of meeting you in person, we have installed August Locks for no-contact guest check-in and check-out. We are also available across booking services and text throughout your stay in the event you need assistance. The home comes equipped with a comprehensive guide that should satisfy any questions you might have about the home functions, locations of items and how to get around Lake Arrowhead.
Wait before entering the property
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggests waiting as long as possible (at least several hours) before entering a space occupied by a person who may have been exposed to COVID-19. We space our bookings with 3 days between each guest. This waiting period allows ample time for ventilating the home, limiting anyone’s exposure to aerosolized virus droplets that may be in the home and plenty of time for our cleaning staff to thoroughly clean, sanititize and restock the property.
Wear protective gear while we clean
Our cleaning staff wears protective items like disposable gloves and masks to help provide additional protection.
Empower our guests
We’ve heard from guests that they want the ability to clean during their stay. We have cleaning supplies you can use, including:
Disposable paper towels
Disposable gloves
Multi-surface cleaner
Disinfectant wipes and spray
Antibacterial hand sanitizer
Extra hand soap
Free and clear laundry detergent and access to washer and dryer
What sets your home and you as hosts apart from all the other Airbnbs?
Our commitment is to take immediate action to reduce our environmental impacts as well as help contribute towards ending discrimination through meaningful experiences of human connection.
Fighting Discrimination and Bias
We believe in a world of belonging without discrimination. Our home was designed as a space for you to feel safe, respected in and welcomed without being appropriative. This is your vacation after all!
Our home is open to every culture, gender, sexual orientation, background, belief and race.
We actively take steps to surface understanding and empathy when biases become part of the decisions we make. As such, we have completed three instructor-led training courses backed by academic research that offer actionable strategies to increase our awareness of and counteract unconscious bias. These courses further support how to be a better ally of all genders, races and backgrounds. We have watched Airbnb’s “Cross-Cultural Hosting” webcast, hosted by David King, Airbnb’s Director of Diversity and Belonging. We continue to take these opportunities to learn through training courses, open dialogue, accepting feedback. The work isn’t close to done, but we hope that we are responsibly making progress towards building an inclusive community.
We are inspired by the diversity, vibrancy and cultures of our world and can’t wait to hear the many memories all of our visitors might share with us in our guestbook.
We welcome feedback and encourage our guests to share tips on how we can expand our hosting skills to all travelers.
Sustainability Practices
We prioritize sourcing organic, zero-plastic and sustainable brands across our amenities, such as soaps and cleaning products. The toiletries offered are in plant-based bottles, we use recycled paper products and our textiles in the home are organic (no pesticides, insecticides or other harmful toxins here!).
We prioritize digital over print-based communications and have implemented energy-efficient upgrades into the home across our appliances, lightbulbs, thermostats and water heater.
We do ask that you recycle, unplug devices when they are not in use, and be mindful about your water usage when in the home to help contribute towards reducing our environmental footprint.
